About the Artist
My name is Stuart Phillips, and I "am" Grateful Dog Design. I enjoy getting to use & expand my Photoshop skills creating pet memorials (even as I continue to get more deeply involved in video and web design in my not-so-copious spare time).
I'm deeply grateful to get to work with people as they experience grief over the loss of special animal companions. I am honored to help create memorials to recognize this connection and to preserve the memories for them as they feel their way through the pain of loss, even as they celebrate the joys and gifts of having shared the time together.
I believe that, as Gandhi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." The people I work with are ones who recognize how blessed we are to have the opportunity to share our time (for however long) with these amazing souls.
We share our home with an affectionate tabby named Wizard (whom I found as a kitten beside an interstate feeder early one moming as I came home from a run) and two rescue "pups" -- a soulful & handsome Catahoula/Lab named Carson and his "sister," Greta, an energetic, sweet, and ball-obsessed Vizsla/Lab mix.
Every day they remind me how wonderful life is and how terrific unconditional love feels...
